35th Hundred Drums Wangala Festival of the Garos will be held on 8,9&10th of November 2012 here at Asanang,18kms away from Tura in
West Garo Hills,Meghalaya,India. On the first day i.e 8th of November
arrieval of troupes and Mese cha'a ceremony will take place, On the 9th
November Sa'sat so'a ceremony followed by the indigenous games and
Rugala ceremony on the 10th November followed by 100 drums Wangala
dance by the dancers from West Garo Hills,East Garo Hills, South Garo Hills,South West Garo Hills, North Garo Hills, Dadenggre,Gonda Chibolgre, Selsela Block, Gondenggre,Chidaogre and Buripara Rongram block.
Dancers and drummers from Bangladesh is also
expected to participate in the festival.
